Some flash demos show specific functionalities integrated in the cooper platform, along with a brief description:
- General COOPER platform view: Video demo of a general overview of one use-case platform |
SWF 17MB COOPER Demo - 17MB
The ALaRI user case has developed and integrated by WebRatio technology an access control mechanism based on user role that can be applied to any kind of resources documents, users, or project, etc. Basically, a role is defined as a job function within an organization. Each role has associated semantics regarding the authority and the responsibility conferred to all those users who cover that specific role. Thus, a role can be assigned to different users, and a user can have different roles. Further, each role has associated a permission which allows an operation to a protected resource.
- Dynamic Processes I: Video demo of dynamic processes creation
SWF 6MB COOPER Demo - 6MB
- Dynamic Processes II: Video demo of dynamic processes execution |
SWF 2MB COOPER Demo - 2MB
The ASP user case has customized and integrated by WebRatio technology the dynamic processes, developed by PoliMi, that allow composing fully functional processes, with sequences of activities and group of parallel activities as well. The actors on the platform can define processes and monitor the runtime status as the various activities are performed. Further, activities in a process can be assigned to any member working on a given project.
- Synchronous Communication Tools Video demo of the audio-video conference service, enhanced with application sharing capability |
SWF COOPER Demo - 10MB
The ASP user case has customized and integrated by WebRatio technology the COOPER components concerning the video conference tool with integrated chat (see for reference D4.1).
- Knowledge sharing - Flash demo of the knowledge sharing and recommendation system capability
SWF 6M COOPER Demo - 6MB
Search and recommendation services have been deployed on the collaborative knowledge repository of L3S, ALaRI and LT Design Software platforms. The demo gives an overview of all the presented services (i.e. Keyword based search, Personalized Search; and Recommendations).
Note: Adobe Flash required to see the demo
Download COOPER Installer
The current cooper platform is based on the WebRatio.4 technology and integrates several functionalities stemming from the cooperative effort of the entire COOPER consortium.
The COOPER Integrated Platform is characterized by the following principal features: tight integration of the asynchronous Web application with synchronous tools, supported by using state-of-the-art VOI (voice over internet) technology; ease of deployment (by means of code generators), ease of customization (by means of wizards), ease of use (by all the actors of the process, including administrators, students, academic and industrial tutors, mentors, general public, alumni).
In particular, the COOPER Integrated Platform has been packaged by means of 3 installers, and in specific:
- the official version concerns an installer that deploys the Integrated Platform. It consists of the Web application and the database which compose the platform. This version can be downloaded choosing among two supports:
- Linux at ftp://cooper@131.175.57.118/CooperPlatform.zip
or
- Windows at ftp://cooper@131.175.57.118/COOPER Platform_1.0.0.Setup.exe
- the other two installers are not public (i.e. not possible to download without a license) but can be requested under an academic license agreement and provide:
- the WebRatio 4.COOPER technology along with the WebRatio User Guide. This concerns the WebRatio version specifically delivered for the COOPER project, integrating the extensions to WebRatio delivered by the different work-packages: custom units (VOIP units, history unit, recommendation units, etc.), custom layout styles, static workflow extensions
- the sources of the Integrated Platform into the target system. In this way it is possible to edit and customize the Integrated Platform (which is a WebRatio project).
The academic license agreement is provided by WebModels, by writing to helpdesk@webratio.com.
Commercial agreements for what concerns the exploitation of results to industry, including SMEs, will be negotiated through ad-hoc licences for what concerns:
- the use of background technology as well as WebRatio extensions. Partner: WebModels, contact: helpdesk@webratio.com
- the synchronous services developed as foreground of the project. Partner: Abbeynet
Further, the other foreground software developed within the COOPER consortium can be granted for use to industry in exchange for consulting services, which can be negotiated between industry and any of the partners of the consortium. In specific:
- Dynamic Processes. Partner: Politecnico di Milano. Reference: prof. Stefano Ceri
- Personalized Recommending Systems. Partner: L3S. Reference: prof. Wolfgang Nejdl
- Advanced Access Control Mechanism. Partner: ALaRI. Reference: Antonio Vincenzo Taddeo
The table here below provides the main reference contacts for using specific foreground software developed within COOPER, and namely:
| Foreground software | Partners | Reference | Contact |
| Dynamic Processes | Politecnico di Milano | prof. Ceri | |
| Personalized Recommending Systems | L3S | prof. Nejdl | |
| Advanced Role based Access Control Mechanism | ALaRI | Antonio Taddeo | |
